Andrews Exmoor seaside restaurant.
Where locals in the know go.
Dinner b&b. Special lunches. Dog friendly accommodation.
Coastal views across Porlock Weir.
Situated near Minehead, Somerset in the heart of Exmoor National
Park, Andrews on the Weir country hotel and restaurant enjoys stunning
views across Porlock Weir from the light and airy dining room. And
all but two of the five en suite bedrooms.
Owner / chef Andrew Dixon puts the emphasis firmly on fresh seasonal Exmoor produce, to create seriously good but unpretentious modern food. You can choose from our £10 lunch menu or go à la carte. Sunday lunch is also served.
Being family run, the service is relaxed and friendly and the atmosphere that of an Exmoor
country house with a modern twist.
Before (and after) your meal, you are invited to settle down in one of our big sofas in the spacious lounge bar, and sip your favourite triple whilst you soak up the views.
Andrews on the Weir is a stone’s throw from the tiny ancient harbour of Porlock Weir with its magical atmosphere, bobbing boats, thatched cottages and footpaths which lead to the wooded coastal hills and the wilds of Exmoor.
If it’s a bit of retail therapy that floats your boat, you’ll find a select collection of shops and galleries on the waterfront. And the hamlet of West Porlock and larger village of Porlock is a few minute’s drive down the coast road.
Andrews is the place to go for an impromptu lunch or to celebrate a special occasion. It is also the ideal base for walking holidays, cycling holidays, equestrian pursuits, hunting, shooting and fishing.
Whilst Andrews is very much a locals’ restaurant, like minded visitors are assured a warm welcome.
